PICSPIRATON SUNDAY: I went back to my roots today – to beautiful Brunlanes in the outer Oslo fjord. The nature reservate Mølen can be recommended for any landscape photographer.
My mother has dementia – and spends her time in a nursing home in Stavern, the small town where I grew up. Today it was time to take the two hour ride to visit her.
And being an eager photographer, of course I timed the visit so that it afterwards would be natural to take some nice landscape photos in the area.
For this I went to Mølen, a very unique nature research by the coast. It is the moraine from the ice age, full of pebbles created by the ice and ocean.
In the area there are also lots of burial mounds made of stones, dating back to the iron age as well as the viking age. Usually waves are heavy – and invite to some great photography if you are lucky.
Unfortunately the weather was not very good today. The main photo on this article is the only one I came out with from the visit today. But I have been there before – and am happy to share some of my previous photos from Mølen as well.
